The Holbrook Club - Notification of Extraordinary General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of The Holbrook Club will be held in the main hall at the Club on Wednesday 8th October 2008 commencing at 7.oopm.

 Business to be Transacted

The Executive Committee (EC) is seeking authorisation from the Club membership to increase membership and gym subscriptions as detailed in the Proposal below:

Proposal

The EC is proposing a 5% increase in membership and gym subscriptions which will become effective from 1st November 2008 (i.e. in respect of the direct debit collection due to take place on or shortly after 28th October 2008).

i) New Holbrook Club Membership/First Adult in Family = from £8.80 a month to £9.25

ii) Family Membership/Second Adult in Family = from £5.50 a month to £5.75

iii) Pensioner/60+ membership = from £5.50 per month to £5.75

iv) Peak Gym Membership = from £16.80 a month to £17.65

v) Off Peak Gym Membership = from £11.10 a month to £11.65

 Notes:

1) Members will be aware that the EC elected NOT to increase membership subscriptions earlier this year at the A.G.M. in May.  (N.B. It is the EC's usual practice to propose changes to take effect from 1st July each year).

2) The EC consider that with rental costs expected to rise in 2009, it is necessary for membership subscriptions to raise from 1st November 2008 to help meet those increased costs.

3) The EC would ask as many Club Members as possible to attend the E.GM. and vote on the above proposal.
