Firstly, as always, we hope you, your family and friends are keeping safe and well.
2020 has certainly been a year we did not expect and there have been many changes for so many people. The Holbrook Club has needed to adapt its way of thinking and implement so many new procedures to enable you to use the gym, fitness classes, sports facilities and bar in a safe environment.
The Holbrook Club is extremely lucky to have the space to utilise and has managed to open 2 gyms instead of one and ensured a maximum number of attendees at any one time. We have continued to provide fitness classes and although the class sizes have reduced, we put on additional classes for the most popular ones and were able to cover the majority of our timetable. The fitness team were even able to give online sessions which helped enormously with your wellbeing and fitness levels and the team had a great time doing this. We now have all our bookings online and this is working very well.
Unfortunately, due to many restrictions we have not been able to offer 100% of our facilities however we have always given 100% of our focus to make sure you are safe. Cleaning schedules have been increased and hand sanitation stations are available throughout the buildings. We may not have got it right all the time and we thank you all for your feedback, we are constantly learning and adapting. The unknown is always a challenge but together we can achieve positive solutions.
The leisure industry has suffered hugely during this time and unfortunately difficult decisions have been necessary. We are still here for you and you are our priority at all times however we ask for your patience and understanding. As with many businesses it has been necessary to adjust our staffing levels based on the facilities, we are able to offer. Office staff are still partly furloughed meaning our phone lines are not covered all the time so if you need to contact us please e-mail email@example.com.
We have seen a change in our Board members. We would like to thank all the previous Board members for their time especially Simon and Carole Charman – they have given so much over the years. We also have a new General Manager – Amy Willis-Whitlock. Amy has arrived during the trickiest of times and has hit the ground running. Thanks to the previous General Manager, Matthew Russell for his support. Our huge thanks go to all our staff who have been affected with the changes, thank you for your hard work and commitment.
Lastly our thanks go to you – without you we would not be here. Your continued support is so important to us. The future is still unwritten and we have no idea what the next chapter holds but we are ready and willing to provide the best service to you that we can.
